Danny and Bobby Harling are poverty stricken brothers. In 1979, medicine can do little for Bobby, who is severely disabled, and today is like so many others - Dad on another drunken rampage, Bobby drooling on himself. But the weather is fantastic, and Danny is looking forward to taking his brother fishing for his first time, away from Dad, away from everything. But Bobby can’t walk, and Danny fears Bobby's wheelchair. Neither have any idea what awaits them today at Grady Pond.
