Al Marche likes to think of herself as an average American woman; aside from a terminal case of clumsiness, her anxiety disorder, and an ever pesky sensitivity to the spirit world. Juggling the hectic demands of a thriving co-owned business, a promising romance, her ailing mother, and their highly dysfunctional Pug dog, Petey; busy Al is looking forward to a little rest and relaxation. Unfortunately, as the gang piles into Al's catering van and sets off for Spring Valley, the peaceful village where close friend Gretchen will soon be wed, they have no idea their vacation will be short-lived. Soon after arriving at the recently renovated bed and breakfast of Gretchen and her fiance, Al experiences an episode more terrifying than anything she has ever encountered. It seems a sinister apparition is determined to harm those on the grounds...but why? Al initially suspects Gretchen's betrothed, but soon the level of supernatural activity cannot be ignored. Gretchen becomes possessed, animals are behaving strangely, and inanimate objects come to life. The cemetary found on the property indicates that prior owners died young, and violently, supposedly at the hands of their own loved ones. Amid rumors of a witch's curse, an eclectic cast of characters assemble, determined to banish the malevolent spirit once and for all. Come along as quirky Al Marche and her comrades delve into the mystery of a haunting hundreds of years in the making.
