Jenny in the Window: A Ghostly Short Story of the Civil War

Confederate soldier, Thomas Basnight, experiences the fight of his life at the Battle of Gettysburg. He encounters the unexpected help of a true Good Samaritan and vows to repay her kindness with his return and proposal. But what he finds is far different than he anticipated when he visits the mysterious young woman Jenny. NOTE: This is a short short story of 1,750 words. That's why I only charge 99 cents. I hope to add more ghost stories later and perhaps a collection. If you like ghost stories like me, you might enjoy "Jenny in the Window." This story is loosely based on an actual Civil War woman during the 1863 Battle of Gettysburg. Sightings of her ghost have been seen in the famous Jenny Wade House in Gettysburg.
