Curly, a sociology professor and social wallflower, gets in woefully over his head when he agrees to help a beautiful woman with her protest for zombie rights. It’s not long before the object of his affection is eaten alive, he’s running for his life through the quarantine zone that used to be downtown Oakland, and eventually bitten by a pint-sized zombie.Undead but no less neurotic, Curly finds he still can’t eat meat, making him the world’s only vegetarian zombie. Brain slowly losing speed and capacity he sets out to find his place, survive shifting political views of what to do with the dearly not-quite-departed, and hopefully to find something to eat other than the human flesh that both taunts and repulses him.The Peanut Butter and Jelly Zombie is a smartly written comedic take on the zombie concept, at times tragic, at times uplifting.
