Beyond Life (The Afterlife Series Book 2)

LIFE AND LOVE FROM BEYOND THE GRAVEReviewed By Taylor Wade for Readers’ Favorite - 5 stars!"Beyond Life is an incredibly humorous story about the afterlife. The characters are extremely realistic and engaging. McEwan did a wonderful job of creating real characters that I fell in love with, cried with, and laughed with like they were real people. I can't wait to see what happens to Claire and her friends in future installments. Beyond Life is funny, interesting, thought provoking and a little dark and scary, which makes it a truly fantastic read. McEwan writes with an excellent sensitivity to her characters and readers. McEwan has an incredible imagination and sense of humor that takes this story to the next level and won't disappoint those who pick it up."What really happens when we die? Initially devastated by her own death, Claire Sylvester has learnt to come to terms with her existence in the strange, mysterious world of the Afterlife. What she hasn’t been able to accept is that her stepsister’s kidnapper is still at large and too close for comfort to her family and friends. Will Claire discover her special talents in time to avert a family disaster? With unearthly intervention will the lives of the innocents be saved? And will Claire ever find true peace and happiness in the constant battle of good against evil?‘Beyond Life’, a fast-paced paranormal thriller of life, death, deceit and danger - the compelling sequel to ‘Beyond Death’.

About the Author

Following a career of over thirty years in the British Army, Deb and her husband moved to Cyprus to become weather refugees (she hates cold weather).  Her books include the 'Afterlife' series, written from a dead woman's point of view and consists of six books so far. Deb's also written children's books about 'Jason the Penguin' and Barry the reindeer ('Reindeer Dreams'). 'The Island Dog Squad' series is suitable for teens and adults and is told by Sandy the rescue dog. It was inspired by the real-life Sandy, adopted in 2018. As well as the Afterlife series, books for more mature readers include the 'Unlikely Soldiers' series, and 'Court Out', Deb's novel about netball players. The wacky 'Alien's Guide' series is more suitable for young adults/adults due to the nature of some of the scenes. Her non-fiction book, 'Zak, My Boy Wonder', is written from a mother's point of view and was co-written with Joanne Lythgoe. It's the true story of her son's abandonment by the authorities, the fight for his survival against all odds, and acceptance in a society obsessed by perfection.  Deb spends her time writing, hanging out with Allan and Sandy, and avoiding housework. For more information visit debmcewansbooksandblogs.com. or follow Deb on Facebook for regular updates facebook.com/DebMcEwansbooksandblogs/?ref=bookmarks
