Fright Night is the story of two little sisters who love Halloween and the New Mexico International Hot Air Balloon Fiesta. They live in Las Golondrinas, a small town in northern New Mexico, surrounded by family and love. The sisters, Rosalía and Lucía, prepare for trick-or-treating, carving their pumpkins, cutting out their masks, and off they go from house to house. They visit the homes of their aunties and uncles for treats. When they are almost ready to go home and enjoy their treats, the girls decide not to heed their mother’s warning to stay away from one particular street. What happens to them? Who and what do they encounter in this strange house? This story is written in both English and Spanish. It is a large size book with delightful black and white drawings that are suitable for coloring. This charming story offers a glimpse into the culture of a loving family living in a small town. Fright Night is the first book in the Cuéntame Un Cuento series which features bilingual stories for children and adults.
