Doom Patrol, Book 6: Planet Love

The Doom Patrol battle the all-powerful psychic entity known as the Candlemaker.

From Booklist

This book collects the final issues of Morrison’s controversial stint scripting the misfit superheroes of the Doom Patrol. In it, they have their final confrontation with the Candlemaker, an all-powerful psychic entity created by ape-faced team member Dorothy Spinner, thanks to her ability to bring imaginary characters to life. Morrison provides closure for several cast members. Rebis, earlier destroyed by the Candlemaker, is resurrected, and Crazy Jane is freed from a mental institution and sent to dwell on sentient roadway Danny the Street, who goes on to fulfill his greater destiny. Morrison’s departure is consistent with the outré approach that characterized his tenure. --Gordon Flagg
