About the Author

Richard Spegal's penchant for writing began as early as High School.  Both writing and reading were huge influences since childhood, including his father's library of vintage Science Fiction.  Reading turned to vampiric literature, especially the atmospheric and enjoyable novels of Anne Rice. Vampire: The Masquerade role-playing game was another avenue of enjoyment, but the genre seemed to stop there.What was worse, the author saw vampires gain popularity in books, movies, and television but targeting younger audiences, effectively taming the core darkness and power. Deciding to reclaim the true substance of the genre, Richard published his debut novel over a decade ago, although quickly removed it from sale due to personal reasons.Motivated by many rave reviews, and the desire to interupt the seemingly never-ending cycle of movies and books simply retelling the same story over and over again, he released the novel again and is expanding his oeuvre with additional books.  Richard is a military serviceman who began in the 82nd Airborne Division and is now stationed in the Sinai Peninsula as a National Guardsman executing MFO Peacekeeping efforts, supported by his loving wife and four children.
