This is a short story, written and illustrated by Peter Corr.In a small, isolated town in the Fenlands, a towering cathedral brooded over the landscape, casting a shadow over everyone and everything. On the shortest day of the year, a painter - known simply as the artisan - came to paint the portraits of local dignitaries. To be painted by the artisan was considered to be a great privilege and an honour, for an unfortunate few...............it was a curse!
