On an old plagued farm lives a young girl named Melody who is punished and imprisoned day after day by her abusive father for accidently killing her mother at a young age. To show her the misery she had brought the family farm, her father Mike forces hard chores throughout the day without rest then destroys the farm once again during the night for her to start all over the next day to remind her what she had done. Driven by hatred and with the help of a crow Melody runs to the cornfield where she is given a moment of freedom to vent to the scarecrow that stands on her mother's burial ground and wishes with all her might that her father is murdered. Little does Melody realize that some wishes fueled by enough emotions find the most bizarre ways of coming true.
