Dagon : a short story by H. P. Lovecraft

Dagon is a famous short story by H. P. Lovecraft, it was written in July 1917 and is one of the first stories that Lovecraft wrote as an adult. It was first published in the November 1919 edition of The Vagrant (issue #11) and it is considered by many to be one of Lovecraft's most forward-looking stories. The story follows a unnamed narrator who remembers the time he spent drifting aimlessly in a lifeboat after his ship was attacked during World War II. He narrates his strange landing at a mysterious island, and the encounter with a very old and bizarre creature... A word by the cover artist I've created this minimalist cover for Lovecraft's Dagon because it is one of my all time favorites. The simple and yet powerful story about a lost man in the sea that encounters basically a bizarre nightmare really delites me. My goal with the cover was to make something really simple but yet strong (like the story) and beautiful. The broken boat drifting in the weird green sea really makes me feel as lost as the character. Are you in?
