August, a twenty-one year old struggling author, is living on the streets. He chased his dreams to a dead end. As all hope seemed lost, he met an old man who gave him a rather convincing offer. If August told his story, then the old man would provide him with full room and board at his cabin. August, seeing no other alternatives, agrees. As soon as he reaches the old man's property, he realizes that things are not normal. August has found himself in the Realm of Monsters, apprentice to the most powerful man in the world, and he has just thirty-five days before a universal-scale battle is set to take place. August must learn everything about the Realm before the Battle of the 31st, where he must perfectly perform for the regretful and remorseful Creator of everything.
