Island of the Dead: The Return of the Vampire Trilogy Book II

The keenly anticipated follow up to the debut teen/young adult horror novel Eve of the Damned. Eve Evans is back on the mainland following her thrilling but near disastrous first year at the De Omori School of Research and Retention. She has learned much about the ferocious dog-like bloodfiends that inhabit the island, but her knowledge of the dark secrets her teachers hold is only just beginning. An attempt on her life during the school holidays leaves Eve Evans scared, homeless, and wondering if the island, overrun with bloodfiends and vampire teachers as it is, may well be the safest place for her. But year two brings fresh problems for Eve. The attempts to kill her do not stop and this time it is someone within De Omori who is responsible. Struggling to control her burgeoning powers, she is tasked by her head teacher to find the traitor before it is too late. Eve must learn to put the problems of year one behind her and finds herself relying increasingly on the one person she thought she would never trust.

About the Author

David was born twelve miles north of Newcastle-upon-Tyne in a small Northumberland town in the UK, and although he enjoys regular forays to the real world, he has lived in the general area ever since. He studied IT and creative writing at university (Not at the same time!) and he says there's no competition to which one he enjoys the most. He can be found with his nose in any books he can get his hands on, but of course has a particular affinity with horror novels. Strange fact - whilst he enjoys horror movies, he will freely admit that he can't stand slasher/torture films (with one or two exceptions). Writing for both the adult and young adult audience, David is quickly establishing himself as a writer to keep tabs on.
