Some of the claims of activity include mob ties. bootlegging, apparitions of children, voices, suicide, growling and footsteps. Due to a fire in 1947, the city hall burned to the ground and all of the city's records were destroyed. A contractor and his crew often found their tools missing or moved to a different floor. After they saw a piece of pipe fly through the air on its own, they quit the job and never returned. There were no eye witnesses to interview and not much documentation to work with.
