A Poisoned Land (Book 2: Broken Dreams)

Schemes are being uncovered. Plots are everywhere. And even the most powerful must face their broken dreams. While the threat of invasion from outside of the barrier looms, new dangers are emerging from within. Following their narrow escape from the Caatamoor, Romarus and Baskie, flee to Narscape in search of the Blind-Seer, but ‘the city that swallowed an island’ is no safe haven for them. Back on the Mother’s Island, things are not what they once were. Owin has taken control of the Caatamoor and the power has gone to his head. The young brother’s eyes now turn to the mainland. To the west, Queen Londenia is met with hostility in the harsh capital of the Ten Kingdoms, Deca’Mar, and finds herself once again thrust into taking charge of another unpredictable juvenile royal. And King Anthony’s forces are growing in number as his ‘divine mission’ from the Ten reaches a pivotal moment.
