Under A Cloak of Black

Long inspired by Dion Fortune, Aleister Crowley, as well as other authors who wrote occult fiction, I find it an engaging way to share a variety of techniques for real-world situations or even imaginary ones, and maybe offer something for the reader to use in a practical way. Under the Cloak of Black is an exploration of archetypes and in discovering how they might drive us by using an occult detective setting, where we follow the main character, Diana Grant, as she uses the myths of Artemis, Adrastia, Aphrodite, and Medusa in her fight for justice. Though loosely based on a true story of religious discrimination, targeting and harassment, the story becomes a journey for self-discovery and for developing tools for when life challenges us to the point that we refuse to stand down, even when the opposition could drive us to the brink, yet where we also ultimately find out what we are made of. Sometimes there is more at play than what is often seen and so we need to see as with new eyes. Solving outer mysteries can often help solve our inner ones, though often with the same degree of potential risk and peril.Know thyself.
