There's Something I Have to Tell You

The Modern Cryptid isn’t exactly the New Yorker when it comes to journalistic prestige, but Lydia Thorp doesn’t mind. She enjoys working for the small-town magazine and getting to know her quirky coworkers. There’s another reason why Lydia works for the Modern Cryptid. She could practically be their cover girl. If anyone at work found out about Lydia’s status as a not-quite out-and-proud werewolf, it would be the scoop of the century. Lydia’s determined not to let that happen.Things don’t always go the way we plan. Lydia is thrown when introduced to the magazine’s latest journalist, Natalie Vanderbuilt, who has a lead on sightings of a gigantic dog. It doesn’t take long for Lydia to realize that Natalie is close to discovering the truth.Lydia tries to lay low, but it’s too late. The entire town of Silver Lake has caught werewolf fever, and a newly arrived reality-TV production is taking advantage of the hype. If Lydia wants to survive werewolf hunting season without being caught, she will have to team up with Jeremy Hutchins, a conservation officer who’s unaware of her true identity, and Bellamy Fontenot, a southern stranger with his own connection to the supernatural.
