Marcie was a 10 year old girl living with her mother and father in the woods at the bottom of the Appalachian mountains. Her father taught her how to survive in the woods. How to use a rifle, bow and arrow and shotgun. He showed her a secret cave, that took him years to prepare for her to hide if the mountain men came down and burned their cabin and killed her mother and father, she would have a secret place to live. Her mother died two years later and the men came down, burned their cabin and murdered her father while she was out hunting. Marcie hurried to the cave where she would live the rest of her life. This is her story of survival.
