Malignant evil from beyond space and time manages to slip into our world. It will feed on humans until it's powerful enough to mentally control the whole planet. The only thing that stands in its way are two heavy-drinking detectives and a tiny psychopath and her entourage' of grotesques and misfits. The Ancient One, as its devotees call it, begins its plans for conquest by eating targets it finds on a list of trolls who have destroyed Wilbur Waterly's life using the Internet. It is soon on a rampage of murder and it's a race to destroy it before it becomes too powerful to defeat.
