Dare to Cross the Bridge is a story about a teenaged boy who discovers a horrifying truth. Thomas Jayme is a 16 year old boy who has been raised by his mother throughout his whole life on a small farm in Mississippi. He goes to school and lives a normal life. His mother has been deceiving him though. He has been lied to and has a hard time remembering his past. His father left him when he was an infant and he could not remember why. Thomas has grown up to be a loner. He enjoys climbing trees and exploring the area around his farm. About a mile away from his house stands a mysterious wooden bridge. The bridge overarches the Mississippi River and leads into the woods. People who cross the bridge go missing, and never come back. Something is happening that Thomas isn’t aware of. Something is causing the people who cross this bridge to disappear. Thomas makes certain discoveries about his past that help him find the missing pieces. The question is: Will he find them fast enough?
