What would you do to change your life? If you are going nowhere and stuck tight in a rut, tired of your job, of where you lived - if even your friends failed to give you real pleasure - then what would you do to alter your existence? If joy was now a thing of the past, if every molecule of your being wanted to deviate from the dull trudge you found yourself on - then wouldn't you leap at the opportunity of change if it was offered? In an incredible turn of good fortune, an old acquaintance offers Mark a deal which will enable him to do just that. But sometimes those who sign deals don't get to see all of the small print. Occasionally there are other clauses which mean the agreement is a lot less generous than it first appeared. Mark Anthony has signed that piece of paper, but his life isn't going to be a glorious festival of success. In fact his whole existence will be torn apart, and there will be nowhere on the streets of London he'll feel safe again. Publishers Comments This story will make you squirm as you watch Mark Anthony's life turn first one way then another, and that turn is downwards into chaos and destruction. There is a deliciousness to the evil, a hunger and inevitability to Mark's fall which one can taste. How many of us would take the same offer... How many of us would indulge in the same desires... And dream of the same easy end to our mundane lives...? Let this story act as a warning to anyone who receives an offer they cannot refuse. There is a reason you should 'just say, NO!'...
