Lane Webster's inner dialogue, (ID), narrates this story. The narrator is at his cynical best, taking the reader on adventures of the characters involved. A tale of good versus evil... A story of magic. Seven humans unknowingly share something that manifests thirty years later. The friends meet a fortuneteller at a carnival. She is a multi-dimensional bounty hunter. Gizelah is hunting the mandrahgon, known as KILLROY. It hunts (bloodpumpers). They and they alone, stand in the way of the thing that would kill everything in this dimension. The storyteller has the daunting challenge of being inside Lane's head in the past, (for (ID) which is really the present for Lane. At the same time, he's zapping back to the stage in the present, (for the crowd) which is really the past for Lane. Yah, I know. I'm shaking my head too. As you will see, (ID) likes his creature comforts and is quite snarky these days about most topics.
