This story begins in the Pacific Northwest of the early 1900's. It begins with the struggles of a very straitlaced mother and her tomboy daughter who insists on climbing trees, going fishing, and when the time was right choosing her own husband. She finds the perfect man for her, and they raise their family on their own island. Many years after they both have passed on a young girl and her family visit the island. The girl, who is named Becca, has skills that most don't and discovers....
