From the moment Oliver was born, his life was filled with constant abuse from his sadistic father. After he is nearly killed during one of his father's rampages, Oliver decides to run away. He takes refuge in an isolated house with strange writing and symbols covering the walls. He thinks that he is alone, until he hears the crying. In the basement he finds a bricked up door, a dead man and something lurking in the shadows that will redefine his perception of fear. Hundreds of miles away, a group of small town misfits ignore the warnings of a local legends and go looking for adventure. What they find is a door that leads to a horror soaked world with no escape. An angry deity, ghouls and misery occupy a place so horrible that even the shadows cry.
