About the Author

Leigh Harlen is a queer, non-binary writer of dark leaning speculative fiction who lives and works in Seattle alongside a mischief of rats, a ridiculous dog, and their partner. They are the author of Queens of Noise, the upcoming A Feast For Flies, and several short stories appearing in various magazines and anthologies. Their non-writing hobbies include petting strangers’ dogs and enthusing about how awesome bats are.Maria Nguyen is an illustrator. She is currently residing in a city just outside of Toronto with two cats. She enjoys gardening, the colour hot pink, horror manga, pop music and listening to interviews with rappers. Her illustrations for Reveal News' Instagram post for an investigative article about exploiting human labour were among the submitted materials to earn a spot as a Pulitzer finalist in 2017. She is also a staff illustrator for the Global Press Accuracy Network
