Valediction (Michael Chronicles Book 1)

Michael Seraphim is struggling against tortures his mind can barely comprehend. Orphaned as a young boy, Michael struggled to be "normal". A social outcast, he emotionally isolated himself from the world until he met the love of his life. Together they had a beautiful daughter and had planned on being together forever. But, all that changed one hot sunny day in, July. He comes across the mutilated remains of his family. Unable to handle the loss, he takes his own life. Upon his death he is entered into a strange dark world, of betrayal and revenge. Taunted by nightmarish visions, hunted by Demons and the other denizens of the darkness, he is forced to fight for his afterlife. Told he can be reunited with his family he embarks on a quest to escape Hell. Lilith, his daughter, is his only driving force behind his tasks. His slowly breaking mind, is comforted only by the thought of her, and his desire to hold her in his arms again. Dark, twisted secrets about his own mother and father come to light as his afterlife drags on. The revelations cause his mind to crack. He quickly loses his grip on reality and starts to become a montrous shadow of his former self. Is he just another psychotic monster, like the Demons say? He is just another monster from Hell? Or, is he something altogether different?
