About the Author

Author Frank Rodriguez retired from the New Orleans Police Department in 1996, holds four associate degrees, a BS, an MA of Criminal Justice, and currently teaches criminal justice at the college level. Frank also earned a paralegal certificate and worked for a prominent New Orleans law firm in this capacity for many years as a second job to his law enforcement career in order to afford top-quality education in New Orleans for his two, now adult, sons. Frank, who speaks Spanish fluently, earned the New Orleans Hispanic community's Applauso Award in the 1990s for his community service work and was a frequent unpaid guest of KGLA radio station to help Spanish speakers in the community by fielding calls on-air for thirty minutes to one hour segments in order to help Spanish speaking citizens in any way possible. Frank enjoys writing and boating whenever possible.
