About the Author

Sue Copsey is an award-winning writer of spooky adventure stories for older children and young adults. She lives in New Zealand, which is disappointingly low on ghosts compared to her native England. Sue was a senior editor at Dorling Kindersley in London before moving to NZ, where she now works as a freelance writer and editor. Her 2015 novel "The Ghosts of Tarawera" (the second in the Spine Tinglers series) won a Notable Book Award from the Storylines Children's Literature Trust of New Zealand, and the third in the series was shortlisted for a Sir Julius Vogel award (Best Youth Novel). As well as children's fiction, Sue has produced many non-fiction books, including the UK Times Educational Supplement award winner "Children Just Like Me", and "Our Children Aotearoa", which also won a Notable Book Award (2012). Sue has two children and lives in Auckland.
