Onyx Dragon (The Dragon Chronicles)

When a young Northman arrives at her court with grave news, Queen Siobhan discovers that a sinister darkness has awakened in the kingdom of Eirenoch. An ancient, malevolent spirit has sent its minions to her shores, threatening to enslave her people. Desperate to protect her lands, the queen entrusts her son, Prince Eamon, with a perilous mission: journey to the desolate temple of Dol Drakkar, a forgotten shrine in the far north where the soul of the Dragon slumbers. There, Eamon must earn the blessing of the Firstborn and take up the mantle of the legendary kings before him. Only by reawakening the lost order of the Knights of the Dragon can Eamon lead Eirenoch to victory against the encroaching darkness.

About the Author

Shawn was born in Fairfield, CA and was dragged relentlessly through quite a few states before his parents settled in the great [sic] state of Illinois. He grew up in a medium-sized town called Decatur, where he developed a love for many artistic media. Though becoming quite skilled in drawing, painting, music, and other things, he always wanted to write. It was early in the 1990s when Shawn first conceived the story that would eventually become the The Dragon Chronicles. For nearly 20 years, the basic premise had bounced around inside his head, threatening to burst forth in some crude, or otherwise unpleasant manner. During these years, Shawn moved from place to place, living many different lives before finally settling in Indiana. Here, he writes and designs web pages full time. In addition to the Dragon Chronicles, Shawn has several other projects in mind in the Fantasy, Sci-Fi, and Horror genres.
