Q: Are We Not Human? A: We Are Corpses! (The Corpse)

Acting as a sequel to A Boy and His Corpse, this free standalone short story concerns teenage necromancer, Alan Chandler, as he wrestles (No pun intended) with the possibility of his undead federation including living wrestlers in its stable of combatants. But Alan and his band of corpses won't go down without a fight! Will the Undead Wrestling Federation become half corpse/half living wrestlers, or will Alan get his way and keep the UWF just that--undead. Find out in this short story of guts, glory, and braaaaains.Interview with the authorQ.How is this story connected to A Boy and His Corpse? This short story is a follow-up to that novel. It concerns Alan Chandler and his undead wrestling federation, which we saw at the end of A Boy and His Corpse.Q. What would you categorize this story as? Is it occult horror? In a way, yes, but it's tame occult horror. I'd say it's closer to zombie comedy. There's more humor in this free short story than horror.Q. The main character in this story is African American but you don't make that point known. Why not?I feel that too many stories point out a character's race, but I don't think that's important. We're all similar as human beings, so I didn't want the reader to find out about a character's race through some silly speech pattern, which you sadly find too often in fiction.Q. But you still call it African American Science Fiction. Why?Well, I am an African American author, so wouldn't it fit into that category?Q. Would you also put the story in the science fiction telekinesis field?Absolutely. Moving a corpse is moving something, isn't it?Q. What do you ultimately want people to get out of this story?I want people to laugh and sign up for my mailing list. I want us to be friends! :)
