Bloodfire: and the Legend of Paradox Pond

Working full time and caring for her senile, abusive mother, Morgan Matthias is headed for a breakdown, when she stumbles across an ad for a magnificent house. The Victorian sits high on a hill overlooking two mountain lakes. In love at first sight and desperate for change, she meets with the realtors and buys the house. Days after Morgan moves in a series of chilling events unfold--apparitions, spontaneous fires, vivid nightmares, strange markings on her ankles and wrists. Realizing she is neck deep in a supernatural mystery, Morgan confronts the evasive realtors. Stonewalled, angry and out of options, she befriends an embittered local who divulges the house’s sordid past involving three unsolved murders decades apart. Terrified but strangely compelled, Morgan embarks upon a path fraught with secrets and lies. When the path leads directly to her mother, Morgan discovers that her entire life has been a lie.
