Letters to Me: Expecting the Worst

If expecting the worst is the only way you could survive, would you alienate everyone that you came in contact with? Marco is constantly falling for the wrong guy and keeps getting in the worst possible situations. Continuously falling in and out of trouble and never finding the light at the end of the tunnel, Marco has come to the conclusion the expecting the worst is his only way to survive. Doing this causes him to never get close to anyone. If your friend was in trouble and it was because of you what would you do? Would you try to save him knowing that your life would be at risk? Would you open up about your deepest darkest secrets or would you continue to keep them bottled up and let the anger control your every move?
