A good tale well told, can transport you to new worlds or reveal new facets to the one you currently inhabit. It leaves you with a sense of awe and wonder. Numinosity is an attempt to capture this magic and distill it down to the graphic short story format. This very first issue is a collection of four stories about the hunter and the hunted. There is something primal about fearing the predator, especially the ones hidden in the dark. The first tale takes place on an alien world. An old harvester takes his grandson for a hunt, things don't go as planned. In the second story, a serial rapist/killer meets a monster of his own making. It’s an exploration of losing control and your purpose even if it’s about killing people. The next story is about a student who is carried away by a Goddess, not of this realm. This story is about awkwardness and the fear of being preyed upon. It is a collaboration with my brother who’s always helped out with this project, albeit begrudgingly. In the final story, a princess finds herself in a forest with a strange Owl who offers to help lead her to safety. This story will set things up for a series that will appear in future issues. So stay tuned for that.
