About the Author

Kat Holladay, a theatre and speech graduate from Arkansas Polytechnic University, embarked on a career as a speech, drama, and debate teacher, devoting more than thirty years to teaching at a high school level and directing over twenty theatrical productions. Holladay also worked as chair of the high school's communications department.During her career, Holladay received the Arkansas Outstanding Speech Teacher of the Year Award, the Stephens Outstanding Educator Award, the National Forensics Arkansas Coach of the Year Award, and two Outstanding Little Rock Central High School Teacher of the Year Awards. After her retirement from teaching, Holladay began facilitating professional teaching workshops. She is a lifetime member of the Arkansas Communications Theater Association.Married to her college sweetheart, Holladay has lived in Arkansas for more than forty years. They have two daughters and five grandchildren.
