About the Author

A note from Cheryl & Carol, Authors of Inn of Three Graces: One might ask, "What gave you the idea and how did you manage to write it as a team?" Well, one day over lunch, we started bantering about how nice it would be to have a beautiful inn in North Port. North Port is growing by leaps and bounds; and, not only does it currently have no hotels, but it also does not have an inn where people can go to fully enjoy an old Florida setting along with its accompanying peace and tranquility. So, we decided to put our inn on paper, creating a town much like North Port called Whispering Heights and calling the story Inn of Three Graces, in honor of North Port's historic monument, a sculpture of three dancing ladies in a fountain. So, "How did we write the book as a team and still remain friends?" one might ask. It was actually quite an interesting journey. We did have an initial one-on-one meeting and a few along the way; but most of the ideas and writings were sent to each other electronically. It was fascinating the way things evolved. Much like the TV program Who's Line Is It, one of us would write a few lines, a few paragraphs or a few pages, always leaving an unfinished idea. After e-mailing it on to our respective co-author, she would pick up the thought and run with it. Sometimes, this was a tough thing to do. One such time was when a wig was found in a dresser which was being held in storage. "What on earth am I going to do with this crazy insert and what's the purpose of bringing a wig, of all things, into this story?" Well, after some thought, the wig is actually found to be a human scalp which puts an unanticipated turn of events into the story. The entire process was an intriguing adventure with many twists and turns. The main thing is that it was fun and that it will be fun for our readers! The book is written for all to enjoy, with the hope the proverbial bug will catch someone's ear, latching onto our idea and actually accomplishing in reality what we have put on paper - building a beautiful inn in our Wonderful City! Our readers will find Inn of Three Graces to be a lovely story of two friends, Nora and Allie, who set out to build an Inn in Southwest Florida's fictional Whispering Heights community.
