After months of not hearing from his best friend, ambitious journalist Heath Kingsley returns from a long assignment in Mexico with one thing on his mind. In desperate hopes of finding his friend Kristen and ensuring that she’s alright, he journeys to Charleston South Carolina to unravel the mystery. His journey brings him into the companionship of Abbie and Maggie, a mother and her daughter who are running from a violent husband who will stop at nothing to get them back. He comes to learn of a long chain of mysterious murders that have occurred in the southern city. The murders point to a mythical being known as a Boo Hag, and Kristen may have fallen victim to the demonic creature. While following the track of the grizzly murder of young girl and diving deep into the legends of the local Gullah’s, Heath soon comes to find that he and his new friends are in mortal danger, with a hag on the loose and nobody but a ghostly child to help them stop the unholy creature from hunting them down.
