In all the universes, on all the worlds, on all the seas and oceans sail the ... Gothik Pyrates. On many worlds, they are known as the Night Prowlers. On others, they are called El Pirata Gotico. On still others, they are known as the Gotisk Plagiator. In some locations, the Gothik Pyrates are bloodsuckers, creatures vile and dark, searching not only for rich, pure heart's blood to satiate their appetites, but for treasures bought and sold by the pure blood of innocence. The Gothik Pyrates, in other locales, are shapeshifters, obtaining the treasures they need, the goals they desire, by changing their faces, their bodies and their souls. In other times and other worlds, the Gothik Pyrates possess different powers: some known and recorded, many unknown and never to be chronicled. But not all Gothik Pyrates are supernatural creatures or possess arcane powers. Some are humans who use fear of the unknown to get what they want from fearful people. Others realize that trafficking with the unknown can yield a hefty reward, or an unpleasant death, and are willing to take the risk. Or just don t care. On all worlds, they share the same goals: the discovery and accumulation of arcane and occult knowledge, which can be treasure of the highest order, and the dissemination of that knowledge for the greatest good. But not all knowledge ends up doing the greatest good... We have always been here ...
