In this, the second installment in the series, investigative Eye Samuel Blackstone is hired to recover an ancient relic, a quasi-biblical scroll purported to have been written by John the Baptist. The scroll was in the possession of the Templar Knights when Acre fell. It ended up in Spain and was entrusted to an order of Spanish monks known as the Brotherhood of the Scroll. They have travelled from Valencia to Chicago in order to recover the scroll, which has been stolen. Uncertain at first, Samuel finally agrees to work for these men. The pursuit of the scroll will pose a challenge and lead him to question his own religious beliefs as well. Why was the Templar scroll stolen and can Samuel Blackstone recover it? Read The Templar Scroll and find out.
