The Guardians of Rathswave (The Beginning)

As children or at any age, did you ever have a secret place that was very special to you? Or perhaps drift off into a world or a different dimension altogether when you close your eyes at night or daydream? Kyrie McFadden did just that; however, she got more than she bargained for when her parents opened up another realm by accident. This realm known as Rathswave, once used to be a beautiful place filled with unicorns, elves, fairies, and other mystical creatures. That's not all what resides in Rathswave though. Undead also lurk, powered by the beautiful but also evil sorceress and guardian/Queen Madizara, preying on Kyrie her best friend Pixie, and whoever comes between her ruling over Rathswave. Fortunately, another guardian of Rathswave named Z, summoned by Kyrie's parents protects Kyrie from harm. Z is quite the charmer and once Kyrie stumbles upon Rathswave in adulthood, it is love at first sight for the both of them. As time progresses however, Kyrie notices that Z shows signs of possessiveness and wants her as his queen in order to save the once enchanting Rathswave. Can Kyrie put her suspicions aside to help restore the kingdom, or are Z's motives enough to drive them apart and seal the fate of Rathswave forever?

About the Author

Liz R. Proctor grew up in the small town of Trumansburg NY and currently resides in Ithaca, NY. She started writing at age 12, mostly poetry and short stories. She also has an interest in drawing and painting; she was self taught from the age of 4. Her inspiration for writing was supported at a young age by her father who would always take the time to listen to the stories she wrote, even though they were 100 pages long. Her grandfather on her father's side, William J. Proctor was also a writer and a poet. This book, The Guardians of Rathswave, is the beginning of a series that she started writing when she was 12. She has always enjoyed stories of fantasy and the Gothic culture and listened to music such as the Cure, VNV Nation, Chrom, Blutengel, Wolfsheim but also doesn't limit herself in other music genres. A-ha is still one of her favorite bands from childhood. She also enjoys classical music, 80's pop, and various other types of music. She enjoys writing books that involve Scotland because her grandfather on her mother's side was Scottish and she would like to travel there one day. She is looking forward to working on her next book in this series soon.
