Ghostly Secrets (A Berlinger Mystery, #3)

In 1924, a well-known madam bludgeons her husband to death and then, standing before an all-male jury, collapses and dies as the not guilty verdict is rendered. For eighty-some years the lady in red has floated about her home, on occasion joined by her ghostly companions. Nobody living has remained under her roof long enough to discover the manor's secrets. Only a few claim to have seen a beautiful woman wearing a red flapper dress. Two robbers next door are about to meet their match. You could say they don't have a ghost of a chance.
