Icelandic native daughter Dagmar Biebelheimer is a brilliant psychologist who also happens to be an expert shapeshifter. After receiving training not only in psychology but criminal behavior and folklore, she opens a retreat in the misty woods of northern California, where she treats patients who have exhausted all other avenues to escape torment from external and internal demons.
