Healing Spirits: Living with the Dead

Carrie is an artist who is very creative and sensitive, but she doesn't believe in ghosts like her Native American grandma. She loves her grandmother who raised her after her mother abandoned her but doesn't believe in all that weird paranormal supernatural stuff, until. When she discovers that her husband has been cheating on her life changes forever. Luckily for her she has a job at an art center that is being refurbished where she teaches. She will have a job as a manager and will be able to live in the apartment upstairs. The only problem is that it used to be a funeral home! The beautiful Victorian house is also housing many secrets along with some very unwelcome ghosts. How will Carrie deal with living with the dead? Will she find romance and a new life with the drop-dead gorgeous man that is remodeling the center? Will she be able to work through her past hurts and memories, and will she change her mind about spirits after living with the dead?

About the Author

Shana Dines is an Indiana native. She lives with her husband Michael and is the mother of five adult children. She is a grandmother as well as a great grandmother, and the mother rescuer of a Boston Terrier named Abby. Her writing career began with many submissions to online writing forums, which inspired her to write her first book, "American Ghost Stories," published in 2012. Shana is also a professional award-winning artist. She is passionate about teaching and sharing her art with others and teaches at the Elkhart Art League in Elkhart, Indiana. She is a survivor of abuse and seeks to help victims of abuse through her own experiences. She has had several of her own experiences with the paranormal and shares that in her writing. Shana is a Christian and a true believer in good overcoming evil.
