Speed Date with Destiny: An Ascension Soap Opera

Terry Gillis is just a normal guy innocently minding his own fishing business. No way can he wrap his mind around the fact that he's been chosen as the subject—or is he the victim?—of a risky experiment by a quirky team of spirit guides. The guides are attempting to strip him of his outdated personality, in order to bump him up to a more expansive state of consciousness.While angelic guidance is a widely accepted belief, few of us have imagined its inner workings to the degree presented in Speed Date with Destiny. Here we meet the spirit guides of Interdimensional Soul Works Inc: senior lightworker Snarrow, behavioral specialist Mabel with her sugar cookie scent, and their wacky band of co-workers. They have their work cut out for them after they receive Management's directive to accelerate Terry. Despite their best efforts, including rehab for his colorful sub personalities—dominatrix Elaine is a real handful—the effect on Terry and his conventional life as a fisherman is at first devastating.Although Terry's plight is at times hilarious, his eventual metamorphosis is not all fun and games. On the path of transformation, destiny might best be courted gently, and not treated as a speed date.
