Out of the Mist is a mystery story and a ghost story. A young girl and her widowed mother rent a house in the North Carolina Outer Banks, but either the house is haunted, or someone wants them to leave almost as soon as they move in. A local deputy has noticed suspicious activities focused around the house, even before they arrived. Frightening events unfold throughout their stay, as new characters are introduced and complex situations arise.
