Compendium of Carnage

"Compendium of Carnage" is the second book by Travis Ben Martin, author of "To Kill A Pedophile." In this volume, he brings you two twisted tales from the redwood forest and several poems from the Dark Place. Originally created in 2013 and 2014 respectively, these stories--written while Travis was serving ten years in the feds for bank robbery--were the product of channeling unbearable pain and misery into something besides literal bloodshed or complete self destruction. Though "Compendium of Carnage" does not define Travis as a person, these twisted tales are nevertheless part of his journey, from darkness and pain back into the light and some semblance of happiness... "Santa's Little Helper" Deep in the redwood forest lurks the epitome of evil and butchery. He’s got a collection of human heads, a sheriff chained to a tree, and a part-time Santa gig in town. Issues? Willy’s got a few, but don’t we all?Lock your door and load the 12-gauge, cuz Santa’s on his way with a sack full of Christmas fun for the entire family. He who laughs last laughs best… "Bonesaw Reprisal" After being set up by his best friend, betrayed by his lover, and deemed a ‘sick, sick man’ by a contemptuous federal judiciary, Jake Fitzgerald is rotting inside a US Penitentiary… But he’s made some plans for his release. Now, filthy rich and with a cozy little ranch in the redwoods, Jake’s got his old friends locked in a shed. And he’s about to show them what a sick, sick man he really is.
