Shana Dow, Author of The Keepers of the Balance series

"The Withering is a compelling story set against a stark dystopian landscape. Patton has put together a gripping scenario that combines suspense, intrigue, and a truly likeable cast of characters to cheer on. This smartly written, tautly paced, and carefully plotted tale will linger with you long after you turn the last page."

Daphne Self, author of When Legends Rise and Into the Unknown: Seven Short Stories of Faith and Bravery

"I stayed up into the wee hours and read the whole thing. Superb storytelling ... Compelling and thought-provoking. It will be a great witnessing tool for the sci-fi/fantasy community!"

Kate Stein, Author of the Earthbound series.

"I really felt those Perelandra vibes throughout, and the mix of tension with (superbly done) supernatural elements made me feel like I was reading a peer of Peretti or Dekker."

About the Author

P.S. Patton is from the Central Coast of California and has a rather strange and varied array of experiences under his belt. He won first place in a county wide poetry contest at the age of fifteen for a poem called Reading By The Lake. He served as the editor for the "Investigations" page of his high school newspaper, and he has written hundreds of songs and toured across the country with his band (www.ohmylandmusic.com). He has spent a year working on major productions in Hollywood and he spent a couple years thereafter working in a steel fabrication shop. He worked on an ambulance for five years as an EMT and later as a Paramedic. Since 2015, he has been making a living as a commercial and fashion photographer with fashion editorials featured on the covers and in the pages of various fashion magazines. Over the past ten years, he has been balancing the demands of school, work, and parenting, with writing a novel in the late hours of the night when all is finally quiet. He currently resides in the wine country of Paso Robles, California, with his wife and two children (G10 + B7).
