Shadows of the Red Tree: Short Stories of the Supernatural

Shadows of the Red Tree is a collection of seventeen short stories about supernatural beings such as ghosts, demons, devils, the grim reaper, and more. Each story is tailored to touch on a different fear or emotion. Whether it is the fear of death, the uncertainties of the unknown, or failing at reaching your personal salvation, every person has something that keeps them up at night.This collection includes 29 Pieces, a story about man's final step to redemption which leads him to a dusty coin shop. Another featured story, Reflection, takes us from a yard sale and ends with a tragic tale that will get under your skin. Other stories center around bullied teens, an immortal creature, a class reunion, and even a story that takes us into the afterlife.

About the Author

Daniel Millhouse is a graduate of Cal State Fullerton and Anaheim High School residing in Menifee, California. His work has fallen under various genres including ghost stories, action, romance, comedy, and supernatural, but is looking to dabble in other genres such as science fiction. Currently, he is married to his wife Yannette and they are the parents of a Chi/Corgi named Bandit and a miniature dachshund named Pepper. He is a former baseball player, radio DJ, restaurant owner, and is a news reporter for Menifee 24/7 and Murrieta 24/7. In his free time he enjoys writing (obviously), watching movies, attending baseball games, reading everything from novels to comics, amateur photography, trying out beers at local craft breweries, and road trips.
