The wealthy Vrana family lives comfortably in the outskirts of Asterbury, away from the streets and near the vast and peaceful Reditum forest. When a mysteriously wounded girl appears in the snowy city streets, the family's comfort begins to change into tension. People begin disappearing off the streets and from the Vrana household. Halvard, the stoic and quiet man of the home, becomes more violent and angry. Halvard's son uncovers ancient, shadowy legends of the forest. Legends, perhaps, that are closer to Halvard and his family than he wants them to be.
