In August of 1912, Frank and Annette Truelove, their children and their nanny were all brutally hacked to death as they slept. The crime remains unsolved. With the hundred year anniversary of the crime fast approaching, Becca Foster has been give the assignment to write a series of articles about the crime. Beginning with her arrival in Davistown, Becca feels as if she's crossed through a portal into an alternative reality. Her deceased Grandmother begins to warn her of impending danger. A lingering ghost at the scene, as well as visions from the past all come together to help her write the story of a lifetime.
