In the outskirts of the humble town, Greenberg, Alastair Duncan gives up his struggling career as an author. Richard Kingsley, an imaginary man conjured by the fractured mind of Alastair, teases Alastair and makes him recount the time when he wrote his last book. With nothing else to do in his life, Alastair does what is requested of him but the further he dives into the depths of his memories, he becomes confronted with the ideals and feelings used in his writing.
